Systec HX-320 in Sri Lanka-1

Installation of a Systec HX-320 in Sri Lanka

Reading time about 2 minutes

A Systec HX-320 autoclave has recently been installed at a food manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. The project was carried out in cooperation with DSR Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, Systec’s local partner in Sri Lanka.

The installation provides an example of how professional autoclave technology can be integrated into laboratory and quality-control processes within the food industry.

Systec HX-Series Autoclaves

Autoclaves are used wherever materials, equipment, or laboratory media need to be sterilized under controlled conditions. In food manufacturing, they can form part of laboratory and quality-control workflows where reproducible sterilization processes are required.

The Systec HX-Series comprises laboratory autoclaves with chamber volumes ranging from 65 to 1,580 litres. The range therefore covers different laboratory requirements, from smaller applications to higher-capacity systems.

The Systec HX-320 installed in Sri Lanka belongs to this product range and is being used in an industrial food-manufacturing environment.

Why autoclave selection depends on the application

Choosing an autoclave is not simply a question of chamber size. The appropriate system depends on the materials being sterilized, the required process conditions, throughput, available laboratory infrastructure, and the way the autoclave is integrated into the existing workflow.

For food-industry laboratories, relevant considerations can include:

•    Required chamber volume and batch size
•    Type and quantity of materials to be sterilized
•    Required sterilization processes and operating parameters
•    Frequency of use and expected throughput
•    Laboratory space and available utilities
•    Installation and commissioning requirements
•    Technical support and maintenance after installation

These factors should be assessed before selecting a specific autoclave model.

Installation and commissioning in Sri Lanka

For laboratory equipment such as an autoclave, correct installation and commissioning are important parts of the implementation process. The equipment needs to be integrated correctly into the customer’s existing laboratory environment and prepared for routine operation.

In this project, DSR Technologies (Pvt) Ltd was responsible for supporting the installation of the Systec HX-320 in Sri Lanka. As the local partner, DSR Technologies provides support covering equipment selection, installation and commissioning, application-related technical assistance, and after-sales service.

Having local technical support can be particularly relevant for customers operating laboratory equipment over a long period, as service and application questions can arise after the initial installation.

The installation of the Systec HX-320 in Sri Lanka demonstrates the use of a professional laboratory autoclave within a food-manufacturing environment. With the Systec HX-Series covering chamber volumes from 65 to 1,580 litres, different laboratory requirements can be addressed within the product range.

The most suitable autoclave should always be selected based on the specific application, required capacity, process requirements, and laboratory conditions.
