Systec presents the new generation of autoclaves
The new Systec DX- and Systec VX-Series

With the introduction of the new Systec DX- and Systec VX-Series, Systec GmbH & Co. KG presents the next generation of compact and medium-sized laboratory autoclaves. Building on the technological foundation of the latest Systec HX-Series, both lines have been completely redesigned – featuring a new exterior design, an optimized process architecture, and a fundamentally redeveloped touchscreen control system. The result: faster, more precise, and more resource-efficient sterilization processes with maximum user convenience.
All models are equipped as standard with modern interfaces for digital connectivity, including Ethernet and USB, with optional Wi-Fi. Process-relevant documentation data can be exported automatically in PDF or CSV format, while the expanded internal memory enables the storage of at least ten years of process data. With tamper-proof signatures, AuditTrail functions, and complete traceability of all actions, the new series also meet key requirements of FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11.
The robust construction of all Systec DX-Series and Systec VX-Series autoclaves is based on corrosion-resistant stainless steel (AISI 304 / 1.4301) for the frame and housing, and pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel (AISI 316L / 1.4404) for the pressure vessel. The standard operating range includes temperatures up to 140 °C at 4 bar; an extended range of 150 °C at 5 bar is available as an option. Up to five flexible PT-100 temperature sensors can be individually configured — for documentation only or for direct process control. Additionally, up to 100 users and user groups can be set up, each with shared or individual program lists.
Like all Systec autoclaves, the new series are designed for demanding laboratory applications. Liquids, porous solids, large-volume media bottles, and waste materials can all be sterilized reliably and in a fully validatable manner.
Systec DX-Series – horizontal benchtop autoclaves for maximum space efficiency

The Systec DX-Series comprises seven models with chamber volumes from 25 to 200 liters. The horizontal design ensures highly efficient use of the internal chamber and simplifies integration into laboratory environments with limited space. High loading capacities — ideal for standard laboratory bottles, Erlenmeyer flasks, and bulk materials — combined with reduced cycle times significantly increase throughput.
The new control architecture enables considerably shorter heating and cooling phases. In addition, innovative cleanroom-grade insulation materials (particle-free) help to reduce energy consumption.
Systec VX-Series – vertical floor-standing autoclaves for maximum loading height

The Systec VX-Series includes eight models with chamber volumes from 40 to 150 liters and is specifically designed for applications requiring maximum loading height. The vertical loading concept ensures ergonomic handling, even with heavy or large-volume items. A lifting device can also be used for effortless loading.
With their generous chamber height, the autoclaves can accommodate a large number of Erlenmeyer flasks, media bottles, and bulk materials in a single cycle. The newly developed process architecture ensures particularly fast and energy-efficient sterilization cycles.
To optimize applications, both the Systec VX- and Systec DX-Series offer a wide range of optional features, including:
• Vacuum system for the removal of residual air from solids and waste
• Radial fan for homogeneous temperature distribution during cooling and significantly reduced cooling times
• Ultracooler for up to 90% reduction in cooling time
• Steam–air mixture method for pressure-sensitive materials
• Exhaust air filtration
• Superdry drying system, and many additional options
Digitally connected and centrally monitored: Systec Connect DS for the Systec DX- and VX-Series
With the Systec Connect Documentation System (DS), all sterilization processes of the Systec DX-Series and Systec VX-Series can be monitored in real time — intuitively, centrally, and without the need for additional software or hardware installations. Manual inspection rounds are no longer necessary: all running and
completed processes are displayed clearly in the browser. This simplifies integration into existing IT environments and significantly increases the operational efficiency of sterilization workflows. Especially in laboratories operating multiple benchtop or free-standing autoclaves simultaneously, continuous monitoring is essential to detect error messages early and reload devices immediately after cycle completion. With Systec Connect DS, it is no longer necessary to check each autoclave individually.
All relevant information is consolidated centrally and displayed in a clear, structured format — from program type and remaining cycle time to current temperature and pressure values. Color-coded status indicators ensure that irregularities can be identified at a glance, reducing downtime and improving workflow continuity. In addition, historical process data can be accessed at any time, including statistics on minimum and maximum readings, F₀ values, and other key parameters, enabling long-term process optimization.
Systec Connect DS is fully web-based and compatible with all major operating systems and browsers. Integration into existing IT structures is possible without software installation or costly upgrades. Only an internal Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection is required; all data remains within the local network, with no need for external servers or cloud connections. Since Connect DS is designed exclusively for monitoring, it does not send commands to the autoclaves and cannot modify data. Access is restricted to authorized users via the individual user accounts configured on each autoclave.
Systec Connect DS provides full transparency of all ongoing and past sterilization processes and enables more efficient workflows — especially in laboratories with multiple autoclaves from the Systec DX-Series, Systec VX-Series, or Systec HX-Series.
